When Ronnie, Bobby, Clive
and Paul walk out on stage with their immaculate presentation, it
may seem difficult to imagine that the Black Abbots are a comedy show
group.
This
may be enhanced by the fact that each member is also a brilliant musician.
However, the Black Abbots have the added advantage of being able to
make people laugh and they have worked very hard on blending their
comedy routines with their musical talents. Another asset of the Black
Abbots stage show is the fabulous voice of their lead singer Clive
Jones.
The Black Abbots recently
celebrated 21 years in the business, and when you look back over their
career it is pleasing to see the many rewards of their hard work.
The most prestigious of these being their three half-hours ‘Specials’
for Yorkshire Television, which reached number two in the television
ratings.
